Deep Sleepers should not be overlooked come draft day. In fact, these guys could be the most important players on your team come playoff time. Here are the top 15 to target in 2016.

Last season, a great deep sleeper would have been Arizona Cardinals running back, David Johnson. He was third on the depth chart heading into the 2015 fantasy football season. He finished as the lead back for the Cardinals in front of injured Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington.

David Johnson finished the season with 125 rushes for 581 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added 457 receiving yards on 36 receptions for some lucky guys fantasy team last season.

He played in every game but started only five games last year. He could have been on your roster instead of having to hope and pray that you could pick him up off of the waiver wire.

To avoid missing out on guys like this, the article will dive into the deep pool of talent you can get late in your fantasy draft to help you bring home the trophy this season.

Most of these players will have to have a bit of fortune to play this season, just like David Johnson had in 2015. Opportunity is what you’re looking for. A good strategy is to target someone on the depth chart with talent and hope they see playing time sooner rather than later. Also, do your research on rookies. David Johnson was a rookie last season after all.
