Kansas City Chiefs Vs Cleveland Browns: Todays Inactives

facebooktwitterreddit

It’s gameday for the KC Chiefs, but ahead of kickoff, let’s take a look at today’s inactives.

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Cleveland Browns today with a chance to move to 10-5 on the season.

The Browns are tied for worst in the AFC with three wins. Meanwhile the Chiefs have rattled off eight wins in a row and haven’t dropped a game at Arrowhead since Oct. 11. It looks good on paper for the Chiefs, but they will not be at full strength today.

The Chiefs will be without some key defensive pieces, and Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel will look to capitalize on the lack of pass rush. It’s a cold, windy in Kansas City, so the Browns likely hope to steal a low-scoring, potentially sloppy, football game on the road, while the Chiefs want to take a step closer to AFC Playoff land.

The all-time series is tied at 11-11-2 between the two teams.

Chiefs Inactives

So first things first: Houston and Hali are both out. That leaves a tough matchup for Dee Ford and Frank Zombo and whoever else will face Cleveland’s left tackle Joe Thomas. That also could free up quarterback Johnny Manziel, who won’t have to worry about the fearsome twosome coming off the edge.

Thomas was a full participant in practice this week, but he will not make his return against the Browns as he’s listed with concussion and non-football related issues.

Tight end Travis Kelce, running back Spencer Ware and lineman Jeff Allen all practiced in-full on Friday and are active today.

Browns Inactives

Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is a go for the Browns today. He makes his return to Arrowhead Stadium, and he’ll have a tough matchup against a feisty Chiefs defense. Look for some the Dwayne Bowe Show to pick up where it left off in some fashion or another.

It’s a tough road test for the Browns, who’ve beaten only the Titans, Ravens, and 49ers this season. Only one of those victories came on the road.

The Kansas City Chiefs inactives is not a pretty sight this week, but the reality is they control their own playoff destiny, and a home win against the three-win Browns should not be too much to ask. How do you feel about today’s game?
