facebooktwitterreddit

The Kansas City Chiefs are days away – exactly 11 days away – from the start of 2015 Chiefs Training Camp in St. Joseph, Missouri. It’s the dog days of summer for football news, but there’s plenty of story lines to keep your eyes on as we move towards August 1st.

The KC Chiefs 90-man roster will soon become its 53-man roster, and there’s no telling exactly what changes we’ll see come Week 1.

Coming off of a 9-7 season in 2014, the Chiefs return largely intact this year and enter the third campaign of GM John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid. The entire defensive core returns, minus Eric Berry at this point, and that includes several key components who missed 2014 due to injuries.

The Chiefs also added nine draft picks and nearly a dozen undrafted free agents, not to mention the ongoing free agency period now, so watch closely as it should be interesting to see roster shape up.

Chiefs Might Be Better Off Saving Their Salary-Cap Windfall [ESPN’s Adam Teicher]

"It’s a better idea for the Chiefs to save their cap room until somebody more interesting comes along. If nobody does, they can utilize that available cap space to start re-signing some of their own players who would be free agents next year."
