The Kansas City Chiefs have 10 picks in the 2015 NFL Draft. At the bottom of this page is the master list for all of KC Kingdom’s scouting reports on draft prospects.

The 2015 Draft is an opportunity for the KC Chiefs general manager John Dorsey to make his mark. With 10 picks, and a roster without many crying needs, Dorsey will have ample opportunity to take the “best player available”. The Kansas City Chiefs also had the third youngest roster in the NFL in 2014.

The Kansas City Chiefs have already improved their roster by trading for pro-bowl guard Ben Grubbs, signing wide receiver Jeremy Maclin in free-agency, and snapping up strong safety Tyvon Branch from Oakland.

Major subtractions include center Rodney Hudson, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, wide-receiver Donnie Avery, tight-end Anthony Fasano, and defensive end Vance Walker.

Many pundits consider center, wide receiver, and inside linebacker as the team’s biggest needs. The Chiefs also could use a strong safety. Eric Berry‘s has an uncertain future as he fights lymphoma. Tyvon Branch only signed a one-year contract.

The KC Chiefs could also use more depth at corner, a long-term solution at defensive end, and a tight-end. Overall, the Kansas City Chiefs need to do a better job protecting Alex Smith and stopping the run on defense.

Many fans are ignoring the team’s need at inside linebacker. Derrick Johnson is 32-years-old and is returning from a ruptured Achilles. You don’t know how many years he has left. Meanwhile Josh Mauga played admirably after he was forced into the starting lineup in 2014 due to injuries, but he’s not a high-upside guy.

The beauty of this year’s draft is that John Dorsey can afford to take guys with long-term upside. While the Kansas City Chiefs have needs on the offensive line (center), wide receiver, and inside linebacker, none of them are so terrible that he can’t pass on them to take a superior talent that drops.

That’s a formula for a draft bonanza.

The KC Chiefs have a young roster that has finished with winning records the last two seasons. If Dorsey can pull off a major haul in the 2015 draft, he could establish the Kansas City Chiefs as Super Bowl contenders for years to come.

What KC Chiefs fan isn’t excited about the possibility of a young, hungry roster that can win for years to come? It could come to pass if John Dorsey has a bang-up Draft weekend in 2015.
