Lets start things off by WOW, that was one helluva game played between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks. As cliche as this is going to sound, that game felt like the old days between these two former division rivals.

It reminded me so much of  a game that was mentioned in our recap of these two’s history earlier this week. The game where Warren Moon made his first start at Arrowhead as a Seahawk and the Chiefs had to finish them off in over time. Just simply an old school, smash mouth, hard hitting game.

Like last week against the Bills, this game wasn’t pretty by any means but grinding out a win against the defending champs not only gives this team big confidence, but also makes a statement.

The Chiefs know exactly who they are and how they want to beat you. For them to line up against two of the best teams in football (Patriots, Seahawks) and just man handle them on the ground is nothing short of impressive. Jamaal Charles had a day, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns. His run of 47 yards was the longest running play for the Chiefs this season and was vintage Jamaal.

As far as the passing game goes, typical old Chiefs. Smith only threw for 108 yards on 11 completions while his receivers only had two catches for 18 yards. Hilarious numbers when you look at them but in reality, for the Chiefs anyway, that’s a typical stat line for them.

We’ll discuss that some more later but for now, lets get started with the five quick thoughts.
