Kansas City Royals: Nursery Rhyme Guide

My daughter is almost two and I was able to take to her first Kansas City Royals game ever earlier in the season. She loved every moment of the experience, but I loved it more than she will ever know.

I have never wrote a Kansas City Royals article because I just don’t feel comfortable enough when it comes to all the baseball lingo and strategies to be able to contribute something worth your time. I will never forget taking my daughter to that baseball game and I hope I can look back and show her that she got to go watch the World champion Kansas City Royals.

That brings me to why I am writing this article, and that’s because I felt I could bring something that you haven’t and likely won’t read anywhere else. I encourage you to read this to your children, as it will be all written to them without profanity or anything not child friendly. So here is your Nursery Rhyme guide to the Royals season.

Jack and Jill / Yost and Moore

Yost and Moore came in to town to build a baseball team

Yost said “Moore, we’ll win the Crown”

And the whole Nation filled with laughter

With a single common goal

And everywhere the Royals went

The fans was sure to go

They followed them to the playoffs one day

Which made the stadium full

It made the league laugh and jeer

To see the stadium full

And so the A’s tried to put them out

But still they lingered near

And waited patiently about

Till Salvy did appear

Why does the fans love the Royals so?

The entire league cry

Why, Royals love the fans, you know

The team did reply

Royals will sweep

Wildly through the season

Please don’t be a dream

They play baseball against the A’s

With a knick-knack paddywhack

Give the team a win

This old team kept rolling on

They played baseball against the Angels

With a knick-knack paddywhack
