The Kansas City Chiefs look to right their disastrous start last week, as they travel to take on their longtime rival, the Denver Broncos.

It’s Bronco week people, nuff’ said.

This game certainly doesn’t have the amount of hype that the two did last season but because it’s the Broncos, Chiefs fans blood is/should be beginning to boil.

For this segment of Getting To Know The Enemy, I did things a little differently. Since it’s Bronco week I wanted to get a direct perspective from the enemies themselves.

Sayre Bedinger, editor from Fansided Broncos blog Predominantly Orange, was nice enough to sit down and do a Q&A with me about their team and this rivalry. I asked Sayre five questions and he gave five excellent answers.

Q: After that Super Bowl disaster, what’s the overall mood around Denver about this team and this season?

A: The mood around Denver and the team/fans is hugely optimistic and hungry. The Super Bowl was a disaster, especially in this era of football and the Broncos know that. They haven’t forgotten it, but it’s in the past and the focus is on this year, this season. Everyone has been treating this season as though they’re out to make a statement that not only are they not the team that we saw in the Super Bowl, but they’re the most dominant team in the NFL.

Q: Some say this Bronco team is better than last year’s, do you believe that to be true?

A: This is definitely a better team than last year’s, top to bottom. The roster is ridiculous, and despite suspensions to Matt Prater and Wes Welker, the Broncos aren’t missing anyone of the caliber of a Von Miller like they were most of last year. The defense is extremely talented, and the offense replaced Eric Decker with Emmanuel Sanders which they may feel is a significant upgrade because of the speed element he brings.
