Bruce Chen entered a 5-5 game to pitch the top of the 10th for the Kansas City Royals. Five hits, 2 walks, and 6 runs later, the Twins left Kauffman Stadium with an 11-5 victory Thursday night.

The collapse occurred after the Royals rallied from 2-0, 4-2,and 5-4 deficits to tie the game in the 7th inning at 5-5 on Alex Gordon‘s solo home run (17).  The loss prevented the Royals from notching a series sweep over Minnesota in Kansas City’s final matchup against the Twins this season.

The loss snapped Kansas Citys two-game winning streak.
