Trade Rumors: Jonny Gomes No Longer Available For KC Royals

The KC Royals need help in right field and Jonny Gomes was an option, albeit, a very poor one. Now he is no longer on the market.

According to various sources on twitter, Gomes and Jon Lester have been traded to the Oakland A’s for Yoenis Cespedes.

It doesn’t seem as if the Royals were too serious about acquiring Gomes, but it is very interesting that the A’s made another big splash in trading for Gomes and Lester.

The A’s acquired pitchers Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel. Now they add a third strong starting pitcher in Lester. Gomes will certainly platoon at an outfield spot or maybe DH.

The point is that the Oakland A’s are always willing to make a deal to give them a chance at winning. The Kansas City Royals sit on their hands, and watch all the action pass them by.

The Royals seems scared to spend money to improve their team. The Glass family continues to pay lip service to winning but their actions, or lack thereof, contradict their words time and time again.

The Oakland A’s try hard to win; the KC Royals do not. If today goes by without a major addition to the Royals roster, particularly a right fielder, then fans should stop listening to the propaganda spouted by Dayton Moore, as the mouthpiece for the Scrooges, better known as the cheap, tight-fisted, dream crushing Glass family.

Stay tuned for any Kansas City Royals trade rumors, as that will probably be all we get as the MLB Trade Deadline passes this afternoon.
