For the second time this week, Eric Berry suffered an injury in practice for the Kansas City Chiefs. On Saturday, Berry dislocated his finger, and on Thursday, Berry received medical attention again.

Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star first tweeted the nerws.

ESPN reporter Adam Teicher added:

The good news is that it may not be a serious issue, and the cart may be more of a precaution, according to 810 WHB’s TJ Carpenter.

If it just precautionary, that is good news for the Kansas City Chiefs. Their secondary is going to be a huge question mark this season, and Eric Berry is the leader of that group.

The Chiefs can ill afford to lose the best player from their secondary, even for a game. If Berry is getting a little bit banged up, the Chiefs should be careful with him going forward in training camp and the upcoming preseason.

If Berry needs to take some time off and be 100% healthy going into the season, the Chiefs should do everything they can to insure that happens. Don’t beat the guy up in camp if you don’t have to.

The fact Eric Berry was walking to the cart is maybe a good indication that maybe he was just shaken up somewhat, and that it is not a major injury.

Stay tuned for more news from the Kansas City Chiefs training camp and preseason action.
