The Cleveland Cavaliers have selected Andrew Wiggins with the no. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Wiggins was a solid pick for the Cavs and he has potential to be one of, if not the, best players in the NBA within the next 3 years.
Nicknamed, “Maple Jordan” because of his Canadian roots, Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, showing his ability to make almost any play on the court. (stats via sportsreference.com/cbb)
Wiggins really wowed scouts at the NBA combine when he showed off his amazing vertical of 44-inches. So wait, he’s 6-foot-8 and has a 44-inch vertical? That means he could dunk on a 20-foot goal!? ESPN’s Chad Ford posted the iconic picture on twitter,

Cleveland’s lineup will look something like this; Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins- giving them loads of young talent. That lineup would be very hard to stop on a nightly basis.
This of course, could change, as the Cavs could be looking to trade Wiggins and move down in the draft.
Either way, Cleveland is in good shape and immediately makes their roster more attractive for LeBron James.
Wiggins is only the second Kansas Jayhawk to ever be taken no. 1 overall (Danny Manning 1988 being the other)
Embiid is still on the clock, stay tuned to KC Kingdom for continued coverage of the NBA Draft.
