Around the Kingdom: Dwayne Bowe, George Brett, and Wade Davis

Kansas City is one of the best sports towns in the country, and KC Kingdom has a lot of fun bringing you news from around the area for our professional and collegiate teams.

Few fans are as passionate about their teams than Kansas City fans, whether it is making Arrowhead Stadium the loudest outside venue in the world, or filling up Sporting Park each match, or being Royal in Kauffman Stadium. The area also supports three of the most passionate college fan bases in the country.

Each morning, we will try to bring you some news from around our sports kingdom, in addition to the news, information, editorials, and analysis KC Kingdom already provides.

We may also pass along an interesting post or two from around the world-wide web, just for fun.

We hope enjoy the news from Around The Kingdom. Happy reading!

With Training Camp about 5 weeks away, it seems like a good time to evaluate the Chiefs roster. Matt Conner at Arrowhead Pride takes a long look at Dwayne Bowe’s career to see where he stacks up in Chiefs history.

In terms of his place in team history, Bowe has very few, if any, peers. Otis Taylor was a great receiver and generations of Chiefs fans will likely debate Bowe vs. Taylor for the team’s best wide receiver of all time.

Laddie Morse at Arrowhead Addict takes the time to re-evaluate the team’s priorities after seeing the team perform during OTA’s. He concludes they are very different than fans perceived prior to the draft.

The spinning batting coach carousel for the Royals makes David Hill at Kings of Kauffman think that the Royals might just be biding time until they can persuade George Brett to commit to the job.

With most of the Royals hitter performing below expectations, we must look to the pitching staff for potential All-stars. David Hill at Kings of Kauffman makes the case for Wade Davis as an All-star.

Be sure to check out KC Kingdom throughout the day for news on the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, Tigers, Wildcats, and Jayhawks.
