The area also supports three of the most passionate college fan bases in the country.
Each morning, we will try to bring you some news from around our sports kingdom, in addition to the news, information, editorials, and analysis KC Kingdom already provides.
We may also pass along an interesting post or two from around the world-wide web, just for fun.
We hope enjoy the news from Around The Kingdom. Happy reading
The Chiefs are in the middle of “OTA’s” (Organized Team Activities). Football-hungry fans examine these workouts closely to glean clues about how their favorite team will address problems in the upcoming season. Arrowhead Addict’s Ben Nielsen writes about recent workouts where Eric Berry has been lining up at free safety.
It appears the Chiefs now plan on moving Berry to the free safety position and are going to let Husain Abdullah roam around as the box safety. A curious decision, indeed.
Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star, however, seems to think Husain Abdullah will be the team’s starting free safety in 2014.
Danny Duffy’s 6 innings of 1-hit ball against the Cardinals on Monday night was a hopeful sign for the young lefty’s ability to stick in the Kansas City Royals rotation. Brian Henry of Kings of Kauffman digs into Duffy’s pitchf/x data from Monday’s start.
Meanwhile, Alan Todd of Kings of Kauffman contends that the team is treating Mike Moustakas like a T-ball player where every kid gets a trophy with his recent recall.
Be sure to check out KC Kingdom throughout the day for news on the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, Tigers, Wildcats, and Jayhawks.
