Vote For Your Favorite Sporting Kansas City Players For The All Star Game

It is that time of year again, to vote for your favorite Sporting Kansas City players to appear in the 2014 MLS All Star Game.

In 2013 the All Star Game was hosted in Sporting Park against AS Roma which featured American Michael Bradley who is now in MLS with Toronto FC. The MLS All Stars were Defeated by AS Roma 3-1 with LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez scoring the lone goal for the MLS All Stars.

The 2013 All Star Game featured Matt Besler, Aurelien Collin, Graham Zusi, and Head Coach Peter Vermes. This year the eligible players for Sporting KC are GK Eric Kronberg, CB Matt Besler, CB Aurelien Collin, FB Seth Sinovic, MF Benny Feilhaber, MF Oriol Rosell, MF Graham Zusi, and CF Dom Dwyer.

The 2104 All Star Game will be played at Providence Park the home of the Portland Timbers and will be played on August 6th, 2014 at 8:30 PM CT. The game will be televised on ESPN 2. The MLS All Stars opponents will be Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich is the second consecutive European side the All Stars will play following AS Roma.

There are a couple ways to vote for your favorite player to appear in the All Star game, the first is online on the MLS soccer website. The second is by playing Fifa 14, the player with the most goals scored in Fifa 14 will appear in the All Star game, so if you own a copy of Fifa 14 get to scoring goals with Dom Dwyer to get him in his first All Star Game.

The voting timeline for the All Star Game is as follows.

May 28: Fan voting begins
July 2-6: Fan voting – Twitter Window
July 11: Fan voting closes
July 16: Fan XI unveiled
July 19 or 21: Game day roster and Commissioner’s picks announced
Aug. 6: Final list of 32 All-Stars (4 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 13 midfielders and 7 forwards) announced
