The Kansas City Chiefs other sixth round pick, Laurent Tardif, announced on his twitter that he has officially signed with the team.

Tardif has a unique story. One, he’s a doctor that was delivering twins when he received the phone call from the Chiefs that he was drafted. No joke! Andy Reid spoke with The Border Patrol on 810 WHB yesterday morning. When asked about his selection Reid said,
“I mean when we were drafting him, he was delivering twins!”
Tardif also would’ve been the number one overall pick in the CFL Draft but, because he opted for the NFL draft, he was selected number 19 yesterday to the Calgary Stampeders. Instead, Laurent decided to stay in the NFL and it seems like that could be the better option.
Andy Reid seemed really high on this kid and some speculate that he could be competing with Donald Stephenson for the right tackle spot. He’s labeled as extremely intelligent ( I mean he is a doctor) and equally as nasty on the field. His 6-5, 323 ilb frame proves that he looks the part of your prototypical NFL offensive tackle.
After a brutal offseason of losing offensive lineman, suddenly there is a bit of relief with the two signings of Fulton and Laurent. The upside on both of these players is high and both could be potential starters. Pulling two out of the sixth round would immediately make this a successful draft.
