Kansas City is one of the best sports towns in the country, and KC Kingdom has a lot of fun bringing you news from around the area for our professional and collegiate teams.
Few fans are as passionate about their teams than Kansas City fans, whether it is making Arrowhead Stadium the loudest outside venue in the world, or filling up Sporting Park each match, or being Royal in Kauffman Stadium. The area also supports three of the most passionate college fan bases in the country.
Each morning, we will try to bring you some news from around our sports kingdom, in addition to the news, information, editorials, and analysis KC Kingdom already provides.
We may also pass along an interesting post or two from around the world wide web, just for fun.
We hope enjoy the news from Around TheKingdom. Happy reading!
The NFL world is still digesting last weekend’s draft. Arrowhead Addict’s Ben Nielsen reports on six undrafted free agents the Chiefs signed this weekend. He also breaks down each Kansas City draft pick.
Meanwhile, the Royals enjoyed an off day after completing their road trip. However, that doesn’t mean the thinking stops inside Kauffman Stadium’s executive suite. Hunter Samuels at Kings of Kauffman reports that the Royals are considering demoting 3rd baseman Mike Moustakas:
It’s not just that the Royals are considering it, either. It’s that they are publicly stating as much. A team that is notorious for sticking up for players beyond a reasonable point is admitting something must be done.
Billy Butler also doesn’t seem like a happy camper these days. Ed Connealy at Kings of Kauffman writes:
Country Breakfast has an entitled air to him that’s impossible to digest when he’s not slugging. Well, last year he slugged a little less. This year? He is slugging a hell of a lot less, and has made it clear it’s anything, but his fault. Doesn’t go down so well, does it?
Be sure to check out KC Kingdom throughout the day for news on the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, Tigers, Wildcats, and Jayhawks.
