The Kansas City Chiefs 2014 Draft is in the books. While we cannot know the true impact of this class of rookies until many years down the road, I’m going to give my “day-after” impressions in this article.

Overall, it is easy to see that GM John Dorsey prizes high-upside and impressive workout numbers. He’s clearly looking for guys that can become stars if things break right for them and they put in the necessary work. Dorsey seems more concerned with landing high-performers rather than filling perceived needs.

Dorsey also seems less concerned with immediate performance from rookies than obtaining guys that have a good future with development.

The Chiefs 2014 Draft class brings an interesting cast of characters to Kansas City:
