Sporting Kansas City: The Day Off Blues

If you are anything like me then you are probably dreading a Saturday without soccer by Sporting Kansas City.

Have no fear, Sporting will be back in action Sunday against the Columbus Crew but, to help pass the time I am going to pass along some videos and articles you may have missed during the week.

The first video can be found on the official Sporting Kansas City YouTube channel and it is the third installment of the hilarious web series – The Benny Felihaber Show featuring Benny Feilhaber and Sal Zizzo with special guest Andy Gruenebaum.

The next video was uploaded by the KICKTV YouTube Channel and it is a feature on Graham Zusi and his path to Sporting Kansas City and the USMNT.

Growing up in a soccer-centric family near Orlando, Florida helped Graham Zusi rise to stardom with Sporting Kansas City and the U.S. Men’s National Team. In 2009, Zusi’s first year as a pro, the family of fellow rookie Matt Besler provided Zusi a second home. The two families remain close as their sons look to represent their country at the World Cup in Brazil. Soft-spoken and modest, Zusi yearns to make them proud. – KICKTV

If you missed or forgot about last weeks game (Like most of us wish we could) you can read up on the post game recap right here on KC Kingdom thanks to Ben Nielsen. After that if you are ever so bold you can watch the highlights also uploaded on Sporting’s YouTube channel.

Last but not least you can cap your day off with some leisure reading about the Goalkeeping controversy that is brewing in Kansas City with this article titled Sporting Kansas City: Is Kronberg The Answer.

By now it should be the end of the day and you can rest easy because Sunday will soon be upon us.

Make sure to check back with KC Kingdom before the game for KC Kingdom’s Sporting pre-game as well as any other news that pops up on the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, Tigers, Wildcats, and Jayhawks.
