With the official NFL schedule for the 2014 season being released, I thought it would be fun to preview a few of what I think are the most exciting match ups for the Chiefs.

Andy Reid and his coaching staff have a huge undertaking as the schedule overall is absolutely relentless. The Chiefs play a fourth of their entire schedule against two playoff teams from a year ago in their own division.

The San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos, who have held the division crown for three seasons in a row now. The Chiefs were 0-4 against the two rivals last year, albeit the last game of the year was lost while resting starters and they still almost squeaked out a win.  Thanks Succup.

But the rest of the schedule doesn’t get any easier, as the Chiefs battle the vaunted NFC West and the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.

Besides taking on arguably the toughest division in football, they also clash with the AFC East which has some talented young teams on the rise like the Buffalo Bills,  Miami Dolphins and the always formidable New England Patriots. But the first team on the list is arguably the biggest rival for the Chiefs.

They are the Denver Broncos.
