2014 NFL Free Agency: Jason Fox Visiting The Kansas City Chiefs Today

Pro Football talk, and others, are reporting that the Chiefs are hosting Jason Fox, former offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions.

Jason Fox has spent the first four years of his career with the Detroit Lions. He’s only had three starts in the 4 year span, so he’s obviously depth if the Chiefs do decide to sign him. He earned the starting spot of right tackle last season after Detroit let their previous guy walk in free agency. However, Fox has had a bead rap sheet when it comes to injuries, so Detroit decided not to bring him back.

Fox has the potential to be the swing tackle that John Dorsey and Andy Reid like so much and if anything, he will be a camp body that doesn’t make the cut.

The Chiefs also signed Jeff Likenbach the first week of free agency and he’s had more starting experience. It’s hard to see either one of these guys entering training camp and pushing Donald Stephenson or Eric Fisher for their starting spots but, they could be competing with each other for that last offensive line roster spot.
