Every year, Kansas City Chiefs fans get together with friends, snacks and beverages to watch the NFL Draft. This year is no different, the Kansas City  have 6 draft picks this year. As fans we all have favorite players coming out of college that we want our team to select.  Here is the Dream Draft Day picks that will ensure Kansas City Chiefs success for years to come.

With the First round pick the Kansas City Chiefs should select  Jordan Matthews. Wide Receiver, from Vanderbilt. He is 6’3 205 the cousin of the (greatest of All Time)  Jerry Rice, and has tremendous catching ability. He also had back-to-back 1,000 plus yards receiving seasons at Vanderbilt, in the SEC.

He doesn’t have top quarterbacks throwing him the ball, making his stats even more amazing.

In the third round the Kansas City Chiefs should select Corner Victor Hampton from South Carolina. Watching him while playing in the SEC his specialty is Bump and run coverage, he lives at the line of scrimmage.

In the fourth round  the Chiefs should select Michael Sam Defensive Lineman from Missouri. 11′ 1/2 sacks speaks for its self, his leadership and intensity on the field makes this pick a draft day steal. He will probably play outside linebacker in the NFL, so that added depth is nice insurance if Justin Houston or Tamba Hali fall to injury.

The fifth round Dion Bailey out of USC should be selected. The Chiefs need help and depth at the safety position. He had 5 INT his junior year, and 4 his sophomore year.

The 6th round is when the gems are found, and this years gem is Shamar Stephen, Defensive Tackle, from Connecticut. Since he went to Connecticut, he may not be surrounded by much spotlight, and he should still be available. At 6’5″, 300 pounds, he is a large man to in the middle of any defense.  Hopefully he will help get pressure on Peyton and the other elite quarterbacks.

Lastly, the seventh round the Kansas City Chiefs select Max Bullough, Inside Linebacker, from Michigan State. This pick adds depth and youth at ILB, and with Derrick Johnson and Akeem Jordan getting older,  this is much needed.

Okay,  Kingdom! Tell me what you think. I believe Jordan Matthews will be the next Larry Fitzgerald.
