Missouri Tigers May Have Reeled In Notre Dame Fighting Irish Transfer Cameron Biedscheid

The Missouri Tigers have built up a successful program under Frank Haith with transfers. They may have just reeled in another. According to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels, via twitter last night, Notre Dame’s Cameron Biedscheid is transferring to Missouri.

Terrance Payne of NBC Sports.com quotes Daniels in his report that Biedscheid had been accepted at Missouri and was now a Tiger. As Daniels pointed out in his tweet, Biedsheid is just the latest player to transfer to Missouri.

The best players on the Tigers 21st ranked roster came via transfer, including Jordan Clarkson, Jabari Brown, and Earnest Ross.

Biedshceid played in 33 of the Irish’s 34 games last season, averaging 17.4 minutes, 6.3 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. He shot 36.5% from the field.

Earlier this season, it was decided Biedshceid would red shirt this year, and return to game action as a sophomore next fall. The St. Louis native decided he wanted to transfer after the first semester. He will be eligible to play at Missouri after the the fall semester is over in December, if he attends the university this semester.

Despite all the chatter, it is not certain though, that Biedschied has for sure chosen Missouri. Yesterday, the youngster tweeted this:

It sounds like the young man has not fully made up his mind but where there is this much smoke, there is usually a fire somewhere. Biedscheid, who averaged nearly 32 points a game as a high school senior, could be a big help to the Tigers next season in conference play.

As of now, it appears as if the young man may be a Tiger very soon, if he isn’t already. If so, kudos to Frank Haith again.
