Yeah, who exactly is going to start for the Chiefs this week?
Kansas City is sitting just about everybody this week in San Diego in preparation for next week’s playoff game. We already knew Dwayne Bowe and Tamba Hali would be out with injuries but the rest of the inactive list looks very close to Kansas City’s Pro Bowl list.
Today’s inactives for the Chiefs: QB Smith, RB Charles, WR Bowe, OLB Hali, LB Johnson, OT Albert, DT Poe.

Charles being out is smart but also kind of a shame as he was close to eclipsing a cool NFL mark. With 20 more yards from scrimmage and a touchdown, he would have become the 10th player in NFL history to gain 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 20 total touchdowns. Instead he’ll finish the season with 1,980 yards and 19 yards, not too shabby.
As for San Diego…
In short, San Diego is in pretty good shape. San Diego can clinch a playoff spot with losses from Miami and Baltimore plus a win over Kansas City.
Here’s an estimated workup of what the Chiefs starting lineup will look like today.

Early reports are that all 11 starters on defense will be out, and nine of 11 offensive starters will be on the bench.
