Justin Houston has Dislocated Elbow, Unlikely to Play Sunday

Justin Houston has a dislocated elbow and is unlikely to play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, according to a report.

The tweet in question:

Houston, along with his sidekick Tamba Hali, left Sunday’s game against San Diego in the first half with the injury. He was scheduled for an MRI yesterday but the swelling was so bad that he could not have the MRI done. Hali did manage to have his MRI, revealing a mild sprained ankle. There is a chance he could play against Denver.

Best case scenario here is that Houston only misses one game with the injury. It is hard to know the severity of his elbow injury without some kind of test result, but one would imagine those results will be made public soon. KC needs him back as soon as possible as the defense struggled without the pressure provided without Houston or Hali. .

It should be noted that as of this writing no one else is reporting that Houston will be out for Sunday’s game. So, no, this is not official, but one would be safe in assuming it will be made official some time later today. Adam Schefter is a very solid source for these kind of things.
