We’ll know shortly enough as Cliff Alexander will choose a school at 3:15 this afternoon, but speculation is Alexander will choose Kansas when he makes that announcement.

According to 247 Sports’ Illinois site, Alexander will choose Kansas over Illinois, Memphis, and DePaul. There are no other confirmations of their report.

Rivals.com lists Alexander and the number four overall recruit in the country and the number two forward behind Stanley Johnson. At 6-8, 240 pounds, Alexander is often compared to Anthony Bennett, who went number one overall in the NBA draft in 2013. Though Alexander doesn’t have the same offensive game as Bennett to date, Alexander does possess many of the raw tools that got Bennett selected number one overall this past June.

The other two big announcements expected today are from Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones, the numbers one and five overall players in the country according to Rivals. It is believed Okafor is leaning Kansas while Jones favors Duke, but both have said repeatedly the plan on attending the same college together. Should Okafor, Jones, and Alexander all choose Kansas, KU would have the numbers one, four, five, and twelve prospects in the nation lined up for the 2014-2015 season.

Again, all three are expected to announce their intentions this afternoon on ESPNU starting at 3 p.m.
