Kansas Lands Cliff Alexander; Okafor and Jones Choose Duke

Top-five recruit Cliff Alexander has declared his intention to sign with Kansas.

Alexander is considered to be the best power forward in the 2014 class and with small forward Kelly Oubre to make on of the better early recruiting classes in the country. According to CBS Sports, Kansas has two of the top seven recruits in the nation with Alexander commitment.

Kansas only has two commitments in the class of 2014, but they are both elite-level players. Alexander joins five-star small forward Kelly Oubre, the No. 7-ranked player in the 247Sports Composite. He chose Kansas over Kentucky last month. But Bill Self probably isn’t done in 2014. Texas big man Myles Turner is still a target, and an interesting prospect to watch could be five-star guard Jaquan Lyle. The former Louisville commit is close with Alexander, and Self could be looking for a point guard.

Super tandem Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones each chose Duke over Kansas. The number one and five recruits in the nation make Duke the early front-runner for the national championship in 2015.
