The Kansas Jayhawks (2-5, 0-4) took it on the chin Saturday night in Lawrence, Kansas,  when the Baylor Bears (7-0, 4-0) knocked them out by the score of 59-14.

Here’s a look at the good, the bad, the ugly.

First, briefly…

THE GOOD

EARLY DEFENSE: Kansas held the Baylor Bears to just 15 yards in their first 9 plays from scrimmage, including a 3-and-out, with no yards, on the first possession. Things went into the tank soon thereafter.

TREVOR PARDULA BOUNCED BACK: After a nightmarish game last week against the Oklahoma Sooners, punter Trevor Pardula returned to the form that saw him ranked second in the country in punt average going into last week. Pardula punted 11 times for an average of 48.8 yards. He pinned the Bears inside the 20 yard line four times.

MONTELL COZART: He should not even be playing, but since he is, he has shown a few glimpses of promise. Not near enough to justify stripping him of his rd shirt if course, but enough to see that he may have some talent, albeit raw talent.
