Keys To The Game for the Chiefs:
- Dwayne Bowe‘s Health: It looks as if Dwayne Bowe will play with his sore groin, which can only help the Chiefs’ mediocre offense. The depth chart at wide receiver thins out rather rapidly after Bowe, Donny Avery, and Dexter McCluster. The Chiefs would have a hard time finding a productive third wide out if Bowe can’t go.
- Passing Game: Even at 3-4, the Cleveland Browns are no slouch on defense. They rank 6th in the league in pass defense, only allowing 220 yards a game through the air. As mentioned above, Kansas City has to have Bowe in the game; the Chiefs struggle passing the ball enough as it is. As always, it would be nice if Alex Smith could find a way to get the ball down field to loosen up that defense, and maybe free up Jamaal Charles in the running game.
- Pressure On the Quarterback: Jason Campbell is a journeyman quarterback but he does have a lot of experience starting. He should not get rattled by the noise in Arrowhead but if Kansas City can keep up their intense pressure on the pocket as in past games, the defense should enjoy success again. The defense is on pace for 80 sacks for the season; that would be an NFL record if they can continue record at least 5 sacks a game.
