The Pregame: Florida Out To Ruin Tigers' Dream

1. Maty Mauk

Obvious reasons for this.

All Mauk needs to is facilitate the offense. There is no reason to take risks when Missouri has the skill players to make plays for him.

2. Marcus Murphy, Russell Hansbrough, Henry Josey

These next two weeks are theirs to wins. Missouri needs them to be on top of their game and making plays.

3. Special Teams

If Florida is going to beat Missouri it is going to because the Gators get a play on defense or special teams that turns into a touchdown.

O’Fallon Gold. Delicious but not necessarily nutritious. But who drinks beer for nutrients anyway?

1. Running Game

Tyler Murphy, Mack Brown, and Kevin Taylor are going to try to pound the ball down Missouri’s throat. If Mizzou stops the run, Florida has nothing on offense.

2. Defense

Florida’s defense may be the best in the country. They have not allowed a SEC opponent to score more than 24 points in 16 games. LSU’s offense was grounded last week, scoring only 17 points and passing for only 152 yards.

3. Tyler Murphy

Murphy, who took over for the injured starting quarterback Jeff Driskel, is not the kind of quarterback that is going to beat you on his own. However, he is not the type of quarterback who is going to lose it for Florida either. Missouri’s secondary should be able to contain the passing game – Murphy had just 115 yards passing against LSU – but Murphy is known more for his rushing ability.
