MISSOURI TIGERS (6-0, 2-0) 41, GEORGIA BULLDOGS (4-2, 3-1) 26

The Missouri Tigers weren’t getting the respect the deserved. They were ranked 25th in one national poll and unranked in another. It is doubtful any other SEC team could be 5-0 and not be ranked. They earned some respect of Saturday.

The Tigers caught everyone’s attention on Saturday. Missouri went between the hedges in Athens, Georgia to take on the 7th ranked Bulldogs, and came away with a convincing 41-26 victory. The Tigers are now ranked 14th in both polls.

The win did not come without its steep cost though. Quarterback James Franklin, who has been absolutely terrific in 2013, went down with a shoulder injury and will be out for several weeks. He might not return until the bowl season. It is a stiff price to pay for the upset. Maty Mauk will run the offense for the foreseeable future.
