Kansas City and Tennessee have announced their inactives for today’s game. Donald Stephenson will start for Eric Fisher and Sean McGrath will play for Anthony Fasano for the Chiefs today.
We knew Eric Fisher would not start today but Fasano being out is a bit of a surprise since he practiced for most of the week. The result means the Chiefs are going to need strong performances from McGrath and Kevin Brock at tight end. Tennessee’s defense is very strong and are very good at taking away underneath routes. Not having Fasano available could be a big issue for the Chiefs offense.
Travis Kelce is also out due to injury. Tyler Bray, Nico Johnson, Eric Kush, and Jaye Howard are healthy inactives.
Still, the Chiefs are healthier this week than they have been in a while. Brandon Flowers, Kendrick Lewis, Jamaal Charles, Dustin Colquitt, Jeff Allen, Jon Asamoah, Rodney Hudson, Anthony Sherman, Marcus Cooper, and James-Michael Johnson are all active despite being on the injury report this week. Both Allen and Flowers missed last week due to injury.
Tennessee is in decent shape for this afternoon. Kenny Britt, Patrick Bailey, Ropati Pitoitua, and David Stewart are all actives.
Shonn Greene, Jake Locker, and Sammie Lee Hill are the key inactives for the Titans. Hill will be replaced by Antonio Johnson on the Titans defensive line.
