Ricky Stanzi Made A Mix CD for Eric Berry

Last week Eric Berry made it been known that he has been jamming to a mix CD teammate Ricky Stanzi made for him. Well, now we know the songs Stanzi sent to his beloved teammate. This is the photo Berry posted on his Instagram.

Yes, Stanzi really burned a CD. Holy crap, this is gold.

Anyway, if you’re having trouble reading the list, here it is:

1. M83 – “Midnight City”
2. Empire of the Sun – “Walking on a Dream”
3. Miike Snow – “Animal”
4. The Knife – “Heartbeats”
5. The Naked and Famous – “Young Blood”
6. Solid Gold – “Get Over It”
7. Foster the People – “Helena Beat”
8. My Morning Jacket – “Wordless Chorus”
9. The Naked and Famous – “All of This”
10. Paramore – “Here We Go Again”
11. Passion Pit – “Sleepyhead”
12. Say Anything – “Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too”
13. AWOLNATION – “Sail”
14. Incubus – “Talk Shows On Mute”
15. Fun. – “Some Nights”

I’m actually okay with most of what Stanzi put together. This development is making me hope the Chiefs either carry four quarterbacks or keep Stanzi on the practice squad so that I can seem more of his mixed CD glory. I wonder what he would make for Tamba Hali? Does he make lists based on what he thinks his teammate would like or does he select songs he knows he likes and doesn’t care what his teammate thinks? So many questions, too few answers.

I expect this to now be the tailgating soundtrack for the beginning of the season (or at least the preseason) once football returns. Or maybe it can help get you from now until the end of July when training camp starts. No matter how you choose to use it, if this playlist isn’t on your iPod/iPhone/Zune/mp3 player or on a disc in your parent’s old CD player by the end of the day then I question your loyalties towards the Kansas City Chiefs.

Anyway, excuse me as I have to go figure out what that “Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too” song is. Is it on Spotify?* This can’t possibly be a serious song.

*Answer: Yes.
