KC Headlines: Royals Rule, Chiefs OTA's Begin, BEARS!


Let there be runs!!! Billy Butler went 5-for-5 with 5 RBIs while the rest of the Royals totaled 19 hits and 11 runs and KC crushed Los Angeles 11-4. Alex Gordon recorded his 18th two-hit game in 36 games Alcides Escobar added three hits. Kansas City also slugged five doubles in the game, which is a season high. This is all good news so we will stop there.

The Royals are now 19-16 and a game-and-a-half out of first place.

Over at Arrowhead the Chiefs will gather for their first OTA of the offseason which will last from Tuesday to Thursday. Branden Albert is expected to show up as are the eight Chiefs draft picks. We’ll have updates for you here should anything interesting happen. In the meantime, the Chiefs locked up Knile Davis to a contract yesterday.

Andrew Wiggins will decide which school he is going to play for next season at noon today. Wiggins is the number one ranked high school prospect in the country and has been considered by some to be the best high school prospect since LeBron James. There are plenty of rumors going around but we will know where he is going for sure a little after lunch time.
