This time Major League Baseball gave the Royals an added element of difficulty as Eric Hosmer was called up to Team USA for the World Baseball Classic. Down Hosmer and Salvador Perez didn’t matter much as Alex Gordon went three-for-four with a double and a grand slam to lift the Royals to a 8-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The win pushes the Royals winning streak to 11.
