Kansas, Kansas State Move Up Polls While Missouri Gets Votes

Kansas and Kansas State each jumped up a few spots in the newly released Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.

Kansas moves from sixth to fourth in the AP and fifth to third in the USA Today Coaches poll. The Jayhawks escaped with a win in Ames against Iowa State and crushed West Virginia for their two wins this week. Kansas was impressive enough to receive a first place vote in the coaches poll. The Jayhawks play Texas Tech tonight at 6 p.m. on ESPN ESPNU as the continue their pursuit of a ninth straight Big 12 title.

The Wildcats used Rodney McGruder’s game-winning three against Baylor to land back into the top 10. K-State is ninth in the AP poll and 10th in the coaches poll. TCU will visit Manhattan Tuesday before KSU’s big matchup against Oklahoma State on Saturday. The Wildcats are looking for their first conference title since 1977.
