Video: McGruder's Game Winning Shot For K-State

Scoring may be down but college basketball is as crazy as ever.

Rodney McGruder proved that last night when he hit a game-winning three in the final second of the game to beat a marquee-win-starved Baylor team in Waco. With the win, the Big 12 champion will not be crowned until the final game of the season, unless TCU or Texas Tech can pull off an upset before then.

What a tremendous game by the Wildcats and what a shot by McGruder. Winning on the road is hard enough (ask Missouri) but winning on the road against a desperate basketball team is significantly more difficult. Even Vegas didn’t give K-State a chance.

I do have some questions about what was going on with Baylor and Scott Drew. Why wasn’t Isaiah Austin guarding the inbounds pass? How do you let K-State’s best shooter be that wide open? I really have no clue what kind of defense Baylor was playing – some kind of baseline zone with Austin trailing Shane Southwell? What a disaster for Scott Drew and Baylor.
