Charlie Weis is off to a quick start for the 2014 recruiting class, landing four-star running back Traevohn Wrench from Gardner Edgerton High School in Gardner, Kansas. GE is the same school that produced Royals prospect and first round pick Bubba Starling.

Wrench has rushed for nearly 4,700 yards in his high school career for the Blazers. Rivals gives him a 5.8 rating to go with his four stars. It is believed Wrench was KU’s number one target at running back. He also represents KU’s first commitment for the 2014 class.

Wrench had offers from Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, and Nebraska. Oklahoma was also on his list.

Then there is this…

This is going to be an interesting, pivotal year for Kansas football.
